Laguna Seca - Although time had an accident on the last training session, but this did not stop for Jorge Lorenzo took pole position at the U.S. MotoGP race. Lorenzo managed to beat Casey Stoner.
In a qualifying session that took place at the Laguna Seca circuit on Sunday (7/24/2011) early morning local time, Lorenzo's had fallen in Turn 5 on the last training session. Nevertheless, it did not disturb the performance.
Evidently, the defending champion managed to record the fastest time of 1'21 .202 seconds with a notch. Yamaha Racing's rider, approximately 0072 seconds ahead of closest rival Stoner, who must be satisfied in the second position.
Dani Pedrosa did not look too bad. Stoner's teammate at Repsol Honda's successful motor with a maximum menggeber. The result, Pedrosa will start tomorrow's race from third position. Note the time is better than Ben Spies.
Valentino Rossi recorded improved achievement. Ducati will start the race from seventh rank. But Rossi is still losing faster than Marco Simoncelli and Andrea Dovizioso on the qualifying session this time.
